Shaping the future of East Metro
through economic advocacy.

A Message from our Executive Director

Greetings. I hope the new year has treated you and your organization well. 2016 marks a bright new time for EMEA and the East Metro region. New growth, new opportunity and we are excited to be a part of it. EMEA will be very active in 2016. We will still have our great speaker series during our monthly membership meetings including Drew Mahalic of the Oregon Sports Authority, Linda Narvarro of the Oregon Banking Association and Duncan Wyse of the Oregon Business Council all in the first quarter of this year. We will also be hosting our First Annual Legislative Breakfast where attendees can give input to legislators before the legislative session. We will also host our First Candidate's Forum in April of this year where those who are running for office will have a chance to address and be heard by the business leaders of East Metro. Our external committees (Legislative, Education & Workforce and Transportation & Land use) are in full swing and we are developing partnerships with other advocacy and business groups to magnify our voice. "Be Heard, Join EMEA" is the theme for 2016 as well as the theme of our membership campaign that will begin this month. I am excited to be your Executive Director and I am excited to be a part of EMEA.

  -Jarvez D. Hall, MBA
